Imports Unlimited, Inc. was founded in the spring of 1977 and finally incorporated later that year in August. A 19-year-old young English car enthusiast took a shot at his dream - and here we are 25 years later… My name is Dave Schaid and I am the one who started this dream long ago (although it seems like yesterday)
We have been servicing the North Shore area in
Illinois for over 25 years. We are a family owned company, providing service
on what started out to be primarily British cars. Then developed into
an exclusive foreign car repair shop.
Over the years, most families began to own both
foreign and domestic cars. To accommodate
A One Stop Service Center for all cars. We have a six bay shop performing all aspects of repairs from regular maintenance oil changes, to rebuilding your engine and everything in between. Everything is serviced here "In House".
Today we have (8) full time employees. One division which services all import and domestic cars (Imports Unlimited) and another which only services and restores classic Jaguars (Jaguars Unlimited). We have a great solid team of people. Our employee turn over rate is very low mainly because of the dedication and love we have for the cars. It shows by the steady stream of satisfied repeat customers. From extensive paperwork and client correspondence to the polishing of even the smallest parts, we are dedicated to doing a professional job throughout.
