Although I really like to drive fast and stop even faster, my favorite thing to do, is "SEE WHERE I'M GOING".  Early style sealed beam headlites, or even Halogen style or perhaps the newest Zenon lights, in my opinion, just do NOT put out enough light in the right areas.  I seem to always out drive and out steer my lites.  Early tri bars and "J" lites look really great - (They work very well on MK's in addition to a nice set of fog or driving lites) but on an E-type they do not provide enough lite alone.  We've had great success using the Lucas 7" with a replaceable bulb.  What a wonderful lite pattern and a choice of bulb wattages.  (Standard - 55/65 watt, optional 80/100 watt or 100/130 watt).  With our upgraded alternator systems and electronic voltage regulators, there are no problems electrically using our high-powered headlites.  What a pleasure it is to see where you're going.  (When aimed properly, there is no danger to opposing traffic).  The high beams really lite up the skies and must be used courteously.
