We have many, many exhaust systems to choose from.  We design your car around you.  We make your car "look" the way you want it to look, we make it "feel" the way you want it to feel and we also make it "sound" the way you want it to sound.    Whether you enjoy the most modest quiet sound or that "rumble" that turns heads and demands respect, we can custom design a system for you.

We try to cover all the bases and answer all the questions up front, that's why we have so many options available.  For instance, regarding your pipes, we offer mild steel, 80% aluminum and two grades of stainless steel.  Stainless steel exhaust systems are not all the same.  The quality of the grade of stainless steel is just as important as the gauge or heaviness of the metal used.  (So, just because it is stainless steel, doesn't mean it is a good system)  In addition, we can coat them with a ceramic metallic coating from "Jet Hot"(then offering a lifetime warranty for rust through.)  But pipes are not just pipes; Let me explain, the heavier gauge metal pipe eliminates the tinny ringing noise most common with "aftermarket" (low quality) systems.  This ringing noise heard, is the vibration of the exhaust gasses inside of the pipes.  When we use the heavier gauge pipes and Jet Hot coat them, the exhaust gasses move quickly out of the pipe and no ringing sound is heard, leaving the preferred low "throaty" sound.  When we increase the pipe diameter, the exhaust gasses are allowed to exit at a higher rate because more air can be moved through a larger pipe.  With our performance engines, larger pipes are necessary to maximize performance.  Basically the whole concept is to suck as much air possible as fast as possible into the engine and push it out equally as fast.  That's power - big power at "your" control.  Although some don't appreciate the "roar", we can design a more modest sounding system (quieter) that can still be efficient.  Keep in mind that even our "loudest" highest performance systems are truly tolerable to most.  For instance, at normal cruising speeds, the sound level is more than acceptable, actually quite quiet, only when under very heavy acceleration does the sound level increase.  At idle the exhaust is very quiet, a low pitched rumble that's pleasing to most.

Cosmetically, we offer a variety of combinations.  For instance, the exhaust manifolds themselves were originally coated with porcelain.  They look great when new, but shortly after when the porcelain begins to chip and crack they look awful. They still perform well, but just the same look awful.  The cast iron manifolds work very well to provide an efficient outlet for the exhaust gasses to escape, but traditionally end up looking  poor very soon after.  We have devised a way to retain the factory style look without much compromise.  We blast and remove all the old porcelain finish then coat them (Jet Hot) with a 1400 degree flat black finish which will last forever, they won't shine like the porcelain, but they won't ever crack and chip.  Also, with the Jet Hot coating they will keep the heat inside the manifolds, creating a more efficient exhaust. (i.e. less air pollution).

We also offer tuned headers.  We "Jet Hot" coat them as well, but this time with a bright silver finish inside and out.  Again, it keeps the heat inside the tubes for a more efficient exhaust and permits the air to move much more freely.  Because the ceramic metallic coating is slippery it creates an immediate, efficient method to expel the exhaust gasses.  This creates power because the faster we can exhaust, the sooner we can suck more air in to be burned again.  Remember, we can only suck air in after we let it out.

We offer several different types of mufflers or restrictors.  A muffler really just restricts the air, either by redirecting the flow or by baffling (blocking) it.  The more you interrupt the flow of air the quieter the sound.  We offer several "free flow" style systems which have no restrictors at all (you can see right through them).  They have either fiberglass or other high heat materials surrounding the air flow tube to absorb the resonance and quiet the sound.  Using multiple such style mufflers will reduce the sound level without too much compromise to airflow.

Also, by increasing the pipe size it will allow more air to be pushed out easier, even with addition of multiple restrictors.  Some restriction is necessary and important.  Without any restrictors the engine would backfire on deceleration and be way too loud for normal use.  Furthermore, the restrictors help keep the manifolds and headers hot.  This area needs to be hot to complete the burning process started inside the engine.  We offer several varieties of efficient ways to exhaust your engine without compromising performance or cosmetic appeal.

We at Jaguars Unlimited cut, weld, bend, and design all of our own exhaust systems.  There is not a system we can not design or a sound we can not achieve.  Since we have complete control and all work is done "in house", we can fabricate a system even for the most critical driver, in fact it's our pleasure, and have done so many times over.  Of course, we can also advise on pre-bent systems available if you prefer.
